You've seen it over and over again, haven't you?

People facing multiple challenges simultaneously, all of which have potentially critical impacts on organizational life - and they freeze up. Or they start playing the blame game. Or they spend all their time on other things, ignoring the situation. And usually they do all three.

I was that guy. I got stuck there - a young leader in fight / flight / freeze, held hostage by my own organization. But I got out of that, and so can you. There were six simple things I did.

Can you relate to this story?

She knew she wanted to grow her business, but at that moment, she and her staff were spending all their time on the work they already had. We worked with her on her office processes and a strategic direction for growth over a period of a year. Six weeks after concluding our work together, Kelli acquired another business that added 25% more clients to her portfolio. Due to the process efficiencies, strategic direction, and staff engagement we worked on together, she was able to do that without having to take on any more full-time staff.

Scott started his business part-time, and once he moved to doing it full-time, it grew really quickly. He realized that he had pushed to the limits of what he could do with his current team, and needed to decide how and when to add people if he wanted to continue to grow.

His biggest challenge was determining when and how to make the numbers work for this. We worked with Scott to create a growth strategy that helped him sort out his numbers and create a plan that would allow him to grow his business to five times the size it currently is before he had to make another adjustment.
